# Network Atlas

### Overview

Network Atlas shows your whole network on one interactive map: vendors and products from your supply lists, with a risk level for each vendor and product. Trace any chain, test what-if scenarios and download a report with recommended actions. Distribution lists (your customers) in Network Atlas are coming soon.

Risk levels are Low, Moderate, High or Critical. A vendor's risk uses its [Vendor Management](https://scopematch.com/docs/vendor-management/) data: internal risk rating, incidents, insurance, documents and how complete its assessment is. A product's risk combines the risk of its vendors with how concentrated its sourcing is across suppliers and countries.

#### Plans

Included on Pro and Premium. Vendor risk scores are most complete with the Vendor Management add-on. See [Tiers and Features](https://scopematch.com/docs/tiers-features/).

### When to Use It

Use Network Atlas when:

1. You want to **see every dependency** between your vendors and products in one place.
2. You need to know **which products are most at risk** and why.
3. You want to **test a scenario**, such as a broken route or a jump in demand, before it happens.
4. You need a **report** to share with your team or management.

---

### Step-by-Step Guide

1. **Open Network Atlas** from [Network Analysis](https://scopematch.com/docs/network-analysis/) in the menu.
2. **Filter** the supply lists, vendors or products you want to see.
3. **Explore the map.** Hover a record to trace its chain, and click a connection to read the entries behind it. Use the options to change the layout direction, the line style and whether products are grouped.
4. **Run a what-if.** Pick a mode: **Break connection** (remove a path), **Strain route** (mark a vendor-product route as strained), **Demand increase** (see where stock-out risk appears) or **Demand drop** (see where overstock risk appears).
5. **Create a link** if a vendor is missing for a product. This is the only action that changes your lists.
6. **Open the report** for a summary, recommended actions, the product risk landscape and the methodology, and download it as a PDF.

### Best Practices & Tips

#### Do:

- Keep your supply lists and vendor locations complete; the map is only as good as the data behind it.
- Start with Critical and High products in the report.
- Use Vendor Management assessments to make vendor risk scores more reliable.

#### Don't:

- Treat a what-if result as a forecast; it shows exposure, not certainty.

### FAQs

- **Do what-if modes change my data?**
  - No. Break connection, Strain route and the demand modes only change what you see. Creating a link is the only action that saves a change to your lists.
- **Why does a vendor have a low-confidence score?**
  - Some risk inputs are missing, for example no incidents, insurance or assessment recorded in Vendor Management.
- **Can I share the results?**
  - Yes. Download the report as a PDF.
- **Which plans include Network Atlas?**
  - Pro and Premium.
